It'll be one city under a groove in this all-star tribute to George Clinton, the "Godfather" of funk, under the musical direction of Ray Chew Live (American Idol, BET Awards, Showtime at the Apollo) and hosted by Dr. Bob Lee (WBLS). We'll celebrate George and his 50 years in the funk and soul business with an amazing variety of P-Funk friends, musical collaborators, and other guests. The evening will also commemorate the lives of Parliament/Funkadelic members no longer with us.

Featuring: Paul Shaffer, Nona Hendryx, Vernon Reid, Fab 5 Freddy, Dallas Austin and Full Force, Sheila E., Tye Tribbett, Doug E. Fresh and Questlove. Tribute video conceived and produced by Reginald Hudlin and Vivian Scott Chew.

Nice tribute. They are coming to Charlotte on November 10. I was thinking about not going now that Garry is gone, but this clip convinced me that I need to be there as always!

@bushtales man, if you here about any pro-shot video, spread the word! there's one good quality clip on youtube right now of Bootsy in the audience posted by JarrettMcGovern (i'm sure you've seen it already). everything else has been shaky, iphone-type stuff -- though i've appreciated those clips, too, for helping relive the night (i would've shot stuff myself if the Apollo was more camera-friendly).
