@Luculencia I agree with you about not declawing cat's I'm totally against it, I have 3 cat's & a scratched sofa because of them but hey they're my babies lol, I also have a 7 month old border collie who we got when she was only 6 weeks old & she is alway's being told off for chasing the cat's, but when she chases them her tail is wagging & I think she is only wanting to play with them, but they have none of it & hiss at her.

Aww that's just to cute, How old is you're dog? I have a 7 month old black & white border collie bitch & she's very playful & loving.

Well at last the cat got the message. Thank you for this - it made me laugh out loud and I am now going off to work with a smile on my face.

I wish my border collie and cat would do this! All they do is play fight and fight over food!

I can hear that purr going on there.

Don't declaw your cats, it's cruel and unnecessary. A declawed cat has no defence against other cats or dogs, and can't climb or stretch it's toes properly.
Border collies are USUALLY not great with cats as they tend to want to chase anything that moves - something the cats don't appreciate. Border collies don't have much of a killer instinct though, if they actually catch the cat I doubt they'd hurt it.
A BC puppy that has grown up with cats should be fine with those cats.
