Ellen had to have him on because she got really excited because she heard Mike talking about his electrical pliers and he said he "just got a new pair of new dykes". Then when she watched him doing some concrete work and saw the size of the vibrator ...

He is good but he really doesn't do the work. A crew comes in does the work and then he shows up to give the homeowner a tour of what was done.

@eline65 Mike Holmes has done a couple of projects in the Pasadena area. That's why Ellen refers to him as the "resident" contractor. Most of his work is done in the greater Toronto, Ontario, Canada area.

This is to anyone who talks shit about Mr Holmes.. I DO work construction and have done so for many years... I to come across shoddy piss poor workmanship constantly.. Those bad mouthing this man are the ones doing this substandard work. I hate when people cut corners just to save a couple minutes.. I have seen so many things that piss me off I could just scream. Uninsulated Doors and windows,Unsealed ductwork, electrical problems that could literally KILL someone.....

Continued.... If you dont want to do your job correctly or just do not know how then get out and let someone who knows what they are doing and cares what they are doing take over... People just there to earn a paycheck should stay home and bake cookies. Homeowners are paying good money to have work done. THEY DESERVE TO HAVE THE JOB DONE RIGHT.....
