Based on the times shown on the screen, it looks like it took about 9:20 min to go through the tunnel. If the tunnel was 14 km long, then the train must have been traveling at an average speed of about 90 km/h.
"How does the engine get out of the way?" It looks like there was a flat car at the front, just behind the engine, from which the cars were able to drive off the train. A very clever set-up, IMHO.

I've stayed in Kandersteg recently and took the passenger train through that tunnel a few times and was wondering what it was like to ride on the transporter train in one's car - this clips answered it nicely - thanks for it!
