  • 82, would've never thought it. She looks at least 20 years younger then that. Nice footage from 1904. Was that a spot light being towed behind the train? Again nice post my friend.

  • thanks.

  • Ira, your mother is gorgeous!

  • thanks you have good tastes in 82 year old moms

  • Nic mi of that old subway footage and the new subway footage. Who is the woman? Is she a relative of Ira's?

Do you have any more old subway footage? The 1904 one is the only one I have seen on YouTube. I love the subway from some reason. As someone who left New York in 1988 it has been some time since I have ridden one. Thanks for the post!

  • Ira what a wonderful video. I must say, I thought it was cute when your Mom asked to wash her hands afterwards. My Mom is 80 and she's the same way. I'd love to see my Mom ride a subway, just once.

  • Wonderful scenes. Reminds me of my NY days.

I don't miss commuting every day to work as the subways were always crowded - esp in the morning. But on weekends when they were not as crowded, they were fun to ride in.

Your mom looks like a lovely lady!

    :)

  • Nice

  • I really miss NY. I love DC, but it is not the same.
