Bird Close ups 2 14 09

A few close-up clips of birds at my feeders. Northern Cardinal, Blue Jay, Eastern Fox Squirrel, House Finch, American Goldfinch. All macro shots from my Aiptek Hi-Speed 720p camera. Detail on some of the birds is pretty good. The camera does a good job in macro mode of giving you a fairly wide range of focus. You can see details you wouldn't normally see and you can watch the difference between the way the cardinals and the goldfinches strip the sunflower seeds.

This is great quality. I have the same camera but I haven't uploaded anything to youtube with it.

I was wondering what settings did you render your video as ? Because your video has good quality even without pressing HD option.

Thanks - I use a mac so it was pretty easy. I think I first imported to iMovie, and then exported as quicktime - keeping it 720p native h.264 and setting the bitrate to 8000. I think this may be very important - the 8000 number (or approximately there). It makes a much larger file but worth it. If you want more details I will have to go back and do one again - which I should do soon because the hummingbirds should arrive any day. (i have a short memory and relearn it every time I do it)

Hi Great Job on the videos. is this the same Aiptek Hi-Speed HD camera that Walmart sells for $99? I've been thinking of buying it, but thought it was too good to be true, but if this is how the movies turn out, I'll buy it today. Please let me know. Thank you.

Very beautiful birdies. My birdies eat from my hand. It's a wonderful feeling when birdies fly up to you. Anyways +5
