Flood
2010, 50' x 10' video projection onto building
Every 37 minutes the video projection of water slowly floods the side of the building for 6 minutes, stays for 23 and recedes for 8 minutes. Inspired by the 1937 flood of the Ohio River which rose after 6 days of continuous rain. The flooding lasted for 23 days and receded in 8 days.
A video projection outdoor installation by Valerie Sullivan Fuchs for the New Albany Public Art Project: Bicentennial Series. Visit www.napublicart.org to learn more about the project.
