@jamiegobangbang The last guide was Ian I think. But Gerry was much better imo. Wish we were allowed to take photos of the Prison as that's when I capture the most orbs. Btw I sent an email to blackhart with the photos I took. I managed to get bright blue orbs in the vaults with the same blue orb being captured in the same place in two separate photos. In the vault tour is it just the S niddry St that you visit or Niddy St also? Just that I saw pics on trip advisor of Niddry St under COTD tour.

@Typhoon10UK Haha i do spend each day talking about/reading about/answering questions about the bridge lol :) Yes the individual tours are better as you spend more time in the location and learn more history about the place. As it happens i have 2 overnight vigils coming up in our vaults, one this friday 11pm - 6am this will be my 8th. We have another one in April but to be honest we dont do many overnight stays two in a year is very rare :) what guides did you have when you came:

@jamiegobangbang Awesome. I could spend all day talking and asking questions about them. I was on my second tour with blackhart a few weeks ago. Still loved every part of it. I take it the individual tours of the vaults (as opposed to the double dead) are longer and you see more of the vaults? Also, is it possible to stay down in them for charity? Just more reason to do it. Would be epic if I could do that.

@Typhoon10UK The bridge is over 1078ft long and there was vaults underneath 99% of the structure. Yes when it first opened in 1788 the vaults were all connected via corridors and at some parts like South Niddry street the vaults are on 3 levels. Most of the vault system has been changed now if not all of it due to flats and pubs and clubs. The vaults that are still sealed are mainly too far damaged to deal with or nobody has bought the property they are attached to yet :)

@jamiegobangbang Why is most of the vaults still blocked up and sectioned up too? Were the vaults all connected and accessible back when they were in use?
-
@XxDyiingBlackRosexX Nope, it's completely seperate.
-
The scariest thing that happened when I went there was the tour guide's tight trousers.

I did the tour a couple of days ago and it was amazing. Our tour guide told us that a majority of the vaults were sectioned up, unsafe (not necessarily because of paranormal activity but pressure, etc, it would be dangerous) or they are blocked up (as @jamiegobangbang stated). And you wouldn't be able to do it without a tour as all the entries are gated up. Would love to go on the tour again, learnt a lot about the history of Edinburgh and it was creepy as hell.

I grew up in stockbridge but never knew our edinburgh was haunted!!

Hilarious. These were bought in the 70s for about 300 pounds (one room). The buyer started knocking down a few walls and discovered a warren which he turned into band practice rooms. I practiced there for about 4 years. The room we practiced in is now number one "woo-woo scary" room on these tours. If you believe this shit you will believe anything.
on friday 9th of may im spendin the night in there on a mercat tours vigil..canny wait :):):)
