he doesn't lack empathy, though. he talks about the feeling of exhilaration people have after hypnosis, which he clearly wants them to feel, and almost always gives good suggestions to people whilst their hypnotized to make their life better.
all he wants to do is help people. :) not a psychopath (obviously) or a sociopath (which is what you meant).
