John Dodson - It's a Beautiful Thing

Just wrote this and had the songwriting buzz. It's not perfect but it's good enough for my first You Tube submission. it goes something like this.

It's a beautiful thing
Being alive
With all your friends, so loving eyed
Like a holy river, running deep and wide
We're singing out loud, down the countryside

Just taking it slow
We got everyone here, there's no place to go
People laughing in the kitchen, people saying hello
It's been too long, I missed you sooo

Some came so far
To the gypsy land out in the yard
Just what I needed, filling up my heart
We're drinking to the morning star

It's a beautiful thing
your red teeth from wine
seeing your glass right next to mine
standing arm and arm, talking eye to eye
in a field of dreams, coming true tonight

It's a beautiful thing
Growing old
and we're smiling still, our wrinkles show
Like every dream we had to fold
Tonight the hands of time are dealing gold
