Ishmael Beah, the author of the New York Times bestseller A Long Way Gone: Memoirs of a Boy Soldier, which details his experiences fighting a civil war in his native Sierra Leone, talks with Dr. Gail Saltz about how children are affected by war. Rescued by UNICEF, Beah eventually moved to the United States and is now a member of the Human Rights Watch Children's Rights Division Advisory Committee. Dr. Gail Saltz is a psychoanalyst, author and contributor to the Today show.
