Thanks for posting this! I just picked up a copy of Slights (random browsing in the bookstore) and started reading it tonight. It makes me want to start writing again (it's probably been almost a decade since I have written anything).
The style is fantastic! Sparse and focused details presented at a brisk pace. Very different from what I am used to reading and very good, imo. It really holds my attention and carries the story along perfectly.
