Screen captures of heat-wave, a computer program I wrote (C++, Qt, OpenGL) that solves the 2D heat- and (damped) wave- equations and displays the results as a 3D height-map.

This is the best version I've got (there are several earlier test versions posted). Still having sync problems and youtube is still cutting off several minutes early. I may try again with better hardware and video software later.
