UPDATE: Been about five years since this video was made. Heather did go to prep school to play hockey, although health issues got in the way of her playing at the college level. She is a Division I varsity athlete though in college but in Crew.

i do the samething! ive player for 10 years and im 12 years old my dad is my coach i change in the boys locker room i play boys and girls my team think im violent because whenever someone checks me i look at there nmber and hit them really hard!i play both defence and forword. im faster skating backwards then anyone on my team and i now all the plays. the first time i practiced with the girls i found out when they fall the squike!!! lol

I'm a girl that played both boys and girls hockey growing up, same with other girls in my town. The last year that I played boys hockey was Midget 2nd year, which was when I was 16. Some of the guys on the other teams were huge and I really got hit hard a lot but the guys on my team were really nice and didn't treat me any differently. Playing boys hockey really taught me to keep my head up and was more competitive. Good on this girl for playing boys hockey. Wonder how she's doing now.

uif she's good, power to her. it would only be fair if guys that are too sucky to make the boys team should be allowed on the girls teams if their better.

i played contact with the guys in select and loved it.. now in ontario they took contact out of select :( its all because of the parents
