@AsphaltClub i feel the same as you my friend..if people would just listen and feel they would have knowledge of what real and good music is.

brilliant....just brilliant

@AsphaltClub You have to remember that this is in no way pop music - its difficult for people to get their head around - play them some of his folk stuff instead its must more accessible. Just thank god that he was able to push boundaries in this way, this song accesses areas of your head that no other music can. I play cello - i hope i can learn off him

it makes me sad when i share such beautiful music with friends who react in a way of boredom, completely oblivious to what they could be hearing if they really tried.

Check out the Youth edit of this track too. Great update of this classic.

I've been listening to this song for just over a year now and am proud to say that it has lost none of it's impact. Pure sonic emotion.

This is the first time I hear this song. I am a grown man, and I can't stop crying. But I feel so warm inside. What is happening to me?
on repeat. for days. without boredom. i am immersed. i am exhilarated. i have handed in a 5000 word paper in a week late because of this man. but i don't care.

And the lyrics - so powerful when in the context of his battle with aids. Every step is about overcoming problems, of becoming wiser and more developed in our character. The video - a representation of how far humans can go, but also symbolic of how powers seek to extend their image towards a god-like status amongst atheist society. but we must remember that 'every step is moving us up' - the step does not have to be a great one for mankind, it can also be a personal one in the fight for life.
