The decision to cancel the program came after the projected costs for 28 helicopters doubled to nearly $13 billion, and that's what the cost would be now. Who knows what it would be by the time they got around to building the last half dozen? Also, why do we need TWENTY EIGHT of them for the President?

The most bullshit spending is what his ugly witch Michelle Obama is doing with childhood obesity. She needs to stop telling us what food they need to eat and worry about her kids.

@skywarp1 True enough, true. Current fleet being rebuilt. BUT, it's not up in the air: this may STILL be the POTUS chopper (but with a different mix of contractors), or, the Sikosky S-92/VH-92. They may well end up with this exact same chopper, different contractors, millions more spent...but in the name of "saving money." Makes one wonder, doesn't it?!? I voted for McCain, but McCain is just as responsible for this fiasco as Obama is.
