@GNut1980 Now if you had a choice, between getting rid of all the gold or getting rid of all the oil, naturally we need oil to function as opposed to gold. Gold is a commodity to me. A basket of different commodities, goods and services, is measured in the CPI index. That's mainly where average purchase power is derived from. So you have commodity prices, as well as demand for the dollar. It eventually was looked at as a burden to be tied down monetarily to gold reserves.

@GNut1980 Well, what inherently gives the dollar value is that the federal gov. accepts it for the payments of income taxes. If somebody wanted to buy a single toothpick, I guess it would have the value of whatever the person was willing to pay. That's obviously not likely, but the dollar still is the premier currency in the world. There is demand for capital when it comes to the U.S. dollar. What's mainly measured in inflation rates overall is through the consumer price index.

@WallStwizkid i feel that gold is only money because humans put value on it as they do paper money.silver too.silver and gold in my opinion hold more natural value anyway being it can be used for other things besides"money".paper is just that..paper merly used to write on.and also this paper money is fiat.cant print gold or silver out of thin air.if paper money was unearthed already printed with dollar symbols thats a different story lol

@GNut1980 Now about gold. I actually work in the area of finance, so I'm curious as to how you view this. I personally don't feel gold is money. I know the chairman of the Federal Reserve received scrutiny from the Ron Paul side of this. I'm aware gold has been used as money in the past. My question is, why do you think gold is money? The first calls to abandon the gold standard came during the 1930s, whereas if it wasn't for gold, the Fed could have injected money and prevented the crash.

@GNut1980 Yeah I agree with you, you can't force people to care about somebody else. I guess we'll never really know what individual cops think. We'd like to believe they want to protect and serve, in this example protect. I think there's good and bad people in all professions and all walks of life. But it does kind of provoke some questions with some of these theories. Especially when it comes to theories on depopulation. If that were the case, why even help that woman? Just let her die.

@WallStwizkid i get what youre saying brother but these cops only are doing it because they were given orders.i wonder if these very same people who took her gun and wisked her away wouldve done the same if they were normal citizens and asked her to leave for her own safety..they probably wouldnt because they cant...its against her rights..meaning she has the RIGHT to stay even if she knows what might happen..same sa if i have the right to not receive chemotherapy for cancer which
