@leandrus86 What suddenly makes Tagalog the main determining factor to being Filipino? What if these parents speak Cebuano, Ilokano or Hiligaynon? Aren't they also languages of the Philippines? Should these children learn Tagalog even if they're parents don't originally speak it? Similar to how some Filipinos view English as imperialist, Tagalog is the imperialist one for me; forced upon the other regions and now people mistake it to be THE language of our country.
