I'm Croatian and I can say that I partly agree with you.
Yes, tourists stay away from Croatia not because you are in danger (you arent in danger at all) but because I dont want that this kind of assholes like Matanović(and he is probably some puppet in all this) fill their pockets with your money. Maybe when there is not so much money involved in bussineses in Croatia these rats will go away somewhere else...
