@carmic191 The other way around. All music in Moulin Rouge were covers or transcripts of other songs. The 'Tango de Roxanne' is a mixture of the song 'Roxanne' by the Police (Sting) and 'Tanguera' by Mariano Mores (modern - meaning 1960's - tango performer and composer) . This version is played by Sexteto Mayor (published on their CD 'Troittoirs de Buenos Aires' in 1998). Here is version played and conducted by the author: youtube.com/watch?v=g-lYQF9bmw

@pb6789 The name of the tango is Tanguera, by Mariano Mores. Roxanne, from Moulin Rouge, was based on this song.
