please don't put your fingers inside the chamber... that weapon has enough force to nip off a finger tip or pinch you pretty good. visual is good enough unless you are having sight issues or are in a dark room. Also good to practice this procedure until you are more than bored with it. good video!

Respond to this video... It's actually a combination of push/pull if you do it correctly. I think she did a good job of explaining the process except for dropping the mag.

You want to lock the slide back so you can do a visual inspection of the chamber.

Shouldn't you also cock the gun second since there would be a bullet in the chamber.

Not w/ that Para, it a double action 1911, so you need to keep it on safty even when the hammer is down.
