In this clip from www.artistshousemusic.org - Vinny Golia from California Institute of the Arts talks about what it takes to be a student at Cal Arts. Students must invest in their own career. Business cannot be looked at as a bad word. He also stresses remembering why one originally wanted to play music. The importance of creating goals is covered as well. If one gets to far away from the original goal, one must reassess the career. Be precise and don't lose your focus even if it is overwhelming.
