Thursday July 23:
10:00pm high tide in Newport accompanied
with 20 foot swells. The Balboa parking lot
floods as the fire pits fill with water and
several bulldozers on standby begin to create
levees as police officers close the beach. Chaos
and excitement fill the air and then an
off-duty lifeguard tells us- TOMORROW WILL BE BIGGER
