The hills and mountains of central Japan are pleasant places to walk and explore. I especially enjoy listening for the sounds which are distinct to each season. During summer the rice farmers irrigate their fields and as I pass each rice paddy there is a distinct tinkle and gurgle which can be heard as water flows from irrigation channels into and out of each field. This video captures the sight and sound of just a few such fields which I passed during a recent evening walk.

  • @drakenman3 Hello drakenman3, Thank you for writing to offer your tip about making these files into MP4 format. I actually create copies of all of my videos in MP4 format for the purpose of archival records. This format is indeed so convenient. Thank you again for writing. Have a great day! ~Kurt :-)

  • it's so relaxing, world need more videos like this, make more videos! they are amazing, & you should record in mp3 too

  • @ericbiscat Thank you for your nice words and encouragement to make more videos like this. I will certainly do so as I really like capturing this type of experience to share with others. I'm not too technical though very curious. Could you please explain more about the benefits of recording in mp3. My new camera records in mp4. Is this ok or is there a better reason to use mp3? I'd love to know. Thanks again for watching! ~Kurt :-)

  • @softypapa well, mp3 it's a sound format. I suggest you to record that sounds in sound format and you could upload to youtube or a similar website. But this videos are so good. So you should continue filming.

    Thanks!

  • @ericbiscat Thank you for the clarification.I like your suggestion. I just checked and it seems that my camera has an audio-only setting which records in MP4 format. I wonder if this is similar to MP3? Your suggestion is fantastic and I will definitely keep it in mind and consider how I might expand my range of collecting impressions from the wild places. Thanks again. Have a great day! ~Kurt :-)

  • Atmosphere Lite 6' by Vectormedia Download at download.cnet.com/Atmosphere-Lite/3000-2257_4-10425240.html

  • There are free, downloadable programs that feature nature sounds. I have one called 'Atmosphere Lite 5.0' by Vectormedia that's pretty cool. Also, if you want to really sleep deep pop in a Mozart CD. The Violin Concertos. Trust me.
