Medicine Hat native Ronnie Burkett is often hailed as the worlds foremost artist in puppet theatre for adult audiences. Inspired at the age of seven by the famous "Lonely Goatherd" marionette sequence in the film of The Sound of Music, Ronnie Burkett has been honing his art on stages around the globe for over 30 years. His performances regularly sell out, outpacing Rent and Angels in America for attendance records, and he has been recognized with multiple awards including an Obie, an Emmy and the Herbert Whittaker Drama Bench Award for Outstanding contribution to Canadian Theatre.

  • I just saw this last night. It was sooo amazing.

  • OMG! First I was looking up this new Ronnie Burkett show (I am such a huge fan) - and here I see my old high school friend Peter Hinton! Glad to see you promote his work. I think he is a genius. I have nominated him for a Walk of Fame honor. Hope you are well Peter. Stay in touch!
