Written by Eric Clapton and Robert Cray . . . performed by John Mayer (2002). He sings a little Jeff Buckley in it too. This is just my favorite version and I thought I would share it with everyone!!!

  • I don't think people realize how hard it is to play rythm guitar and solo at the same time

Truly underrated, this solo is unreal!

  • @Squarehead29 Yaa, I'm a big john mayer fan actually, but your comment just doesn'y hold any water musically... Mayer as a musician isn't a blues guitarist, he plays the blues well, but his other varied styles leak into his lines and you really can't compare him to the many blues players you probably havn't heard of because they havn't written a hit song, no offense but a really bold comment coming from someone who likely doesnt know what the fuck they are talking about

  • @DanSherkinMusic owned lol.

  • If you came only for the solo its in: 3:07

But i reccomend you to listen all the song. So you can have the "pre flavor" to taste the solo itself. Thank you

  • I wrote how much I love JM's music on fb and I'm a fan always with luv for his music and many Genre of his music/ that is an intelligent singer/songwriter need I say more<3

  • @JustinEvans248 i don't think people realize how hard it is too poop without peeing

  • @asib12 Take a step back and think about this for a moment, anybody who plays the blues and the guitar is a blues guitarist. Mayer is also a singer songwriter. I like catchy tunes, that's why music is catchy, but a players career direction/decisions really aren't in the same ballpark as his rank of blues playing.

  • @DanSherkinMusic That's really not fair at all. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion and whilst I don't know a plethora of blues guitarists, of those I have heard, Mayer is easily up there. To say he isn't a blues guitarist at heart is wrong I think. Mayer simply realises that certain styles of music are popular these days and if he wants to get people to listen to his blues (which I believe is what he truly enjoys playing) he has to draw them in with his more popular tracks eg Heartbreak

  • @rafaelmorbidus proofread man your crap does not make sense!

  • @JustinEvans248

    precisely, simply amazing

  • JM rocks blues!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @DanSherkinMusic I'm just going to say "what?" because your comment is really weird... or maybe I just didn't understand it but..If JM didn't play any Blues I wouldn't listen to anything he did. I knew him because of the blues THEN I'm listening to what he does because I like his own style ("guitarly" speaking) There's a huge bunch of musics from JM that I can't stand, in fact every mellow pop songs gets on my nerves. Blues doesn't need 'hit songs" to be good by the way...
