i find it so hard to believe that people can get these beautiful animals and then abuse or neglect them. They are the most amazing animals. Bless you for taking care of them and showing them love

Well done for your good work,I have rescued a great dane (Samson) in the past, they are the best of dogs and only want loving, treat them right and you will have a friend for life

I have had many danes a few were rescues from people who thought they would like a Great Dane but did not know how much these dogs need, Danes are lovely beautiful souls, I love my girls, and miss those that have passed, I pray people would learn about these and any breed of dog BEFORE they buy and research where they came from, and where possible a rescue is great, if you have the right home for a rescue dog, but always be aware of the dogs needs and your ability to meet those needs,

I just don't understand HOW people can be cruel to animals, kids, weak????!! What's WRONG with some humans???

We already adopted a Great Dane (and a Labrador as well) and will always ADOPT dogs (and cats) from now on. No more puppies for us. It's a pleasure and a challenge to get poor, abandonned animals to 'bloom' again. Although our Dane came from a good place, I have to say. But she has definitely become so much happier over the months and years with us. Our lab was less lucky before he came to us... but he's now and old, snorring but happy and very loved dog-friend.

i want a great dane so bad

@Prov1210 I want em! I've been looking for a giant breed to adopt, and the aggravating thing has been how much the nearby rescues want to charge for them. $500 and up! Rescues shoot themselves in the foot when they make it cheaper to buy an unpapered puppy than to adopt a middle-aged dog with probable health or behavioral problems. I realize that they're trying to cover their expenses, but if they want people to adopt an unknown quality, they need to make it financially attractive.

I've helped rescue a few great danes and mastiffs recently. The big dogs are hard to place since lots of people what the small, cute dogs. It is a shame for people to overlook the large breeds. They are soooo beautiful! The most recent danes, a mother and daughter, were so pretty. They took up my whole car!
