A quick tutorial on effects and keying in Final Cut Pro X. This tutorial actually shows how to tweak the keyer in case Final Cut doesn't automatically detect the best settings. This will allow you to remove shadows/bright sports. Also shows a basic overview of effects and how to apply them.

  • Thanks sooo much this tutorial, Eric!!! I've been arguing with random editors that keying definitely doesn't take like 2 weeks and they've been blaming my lighting and now thanks to your amaaaaaazing tutorial it took me like 5 min!

Thank you for saving my life!!!

  • wow this is a great video could you teach us how to do a drop shadow effect on motion or can you do it in fcpx?

i think if you did that it would look like more bland in with the back ground or something i think if we do that i motion you have to publish it in FCPx

  • Thank you so much. I tried so many programs and wasted over $600 in software to find something that would be able to get my green screen to look perfect and your tip worked great!
