Yep... Jeffrey's work isn't for every one. The Dragon Wing sold a long time ago so you couldn't have that one if you wanted it. You could pay $10,000 for a Paul Gilbert Fire Man if you like. Oh.. and not for nuthin' but all the guitars you named one have one volume.

i know this guy does it by hand, but you can use a CNC router to make the exact same designs for a fraction of the cost...if cost is an issue

@zircle1 Modern CNC is pretty amazing. You could program something close to this level of work but in the end CNC balls will not cut the same way knives and files do. You also have to conciser that a CNC will not imagine these types of works on their own or be able to look at a hunk of wood and plan the carving around the figure. W. Jeffrey Jones guitars are all unique and will never be reproduced. For cool examples of inexpensive, mass produced CNC guitars check out DBZ Guitars.

I'm currently saving enough money to buy a guitar made by W. Jeffrey Jones. Yeah, you can spend $12,000 on the dragon guitar, but for a rock dream machine, I'm looking at $4,800 tops. I understand if you don't have that kind of money to spend on a guitar, and I can also understand that most people don't want to pay that kind of money for a guitar in the first place, but for me, this is a life's investment for the perfect guitar for me to make a living with.

@Evenleeyod You might want to Email Jeffrey. I understand he has two shop prototypes that might be had for a song.
