Initially they might respect a no in a referendum, but then they'll just change the words and some how incluede you anyways telling you with this change of words a second referendum isn't needed.

Theres also question about a referendum or not in Denmark where they are trying to get around it with the recent changes in the "treaty", they still say ..."Let's see if a referendum is needed or not".
