It has been far too long since I actually made it out in to the woods. I finally couldn't take it anymore, so I packed up some gear and set out for a quick overnight adventure. I didn't take much, and didn't even use everything I brought. I had a cookset to make some coffee and/or oatmeal for breakfast, but once the weather turned I opted to just break camp and beat feet back to the truck. Even though I wasn't there for long (less than 12 hours all together), its amazing how just a short time in the wilderness can bring me back to balance.

More adventures to come!

  • Great information, thanks! Planning on making a hammock system, That area you were in looks so familiar. Not Potomac River near Little Falls by chance?

  • @steveserfass Not the Potomac, but central Mass. Just west of Worcester.
