Minecraft Cast Away #14 - Buried Alive

Welcome back to Minecraft 1.0.0 with a new series I've dubbed Minecraft Cast Away! I've started a brand new world with the seed "292202" which, along with being the official distance traveled in my Far Lands or Bust world, is a Minecraft 1.0.0 seed that spawns you in the middle of an ocean without a single tree.

In today's episode, I try to resist the urge to continue spelunking the massive caves, else it lead to my demise. On my way back up to the surface, it almost does!

I've decided on a few rules for Cast Away to keep things interesting:
1) Play on HARD difficulty setting!
2) No setting new spawn points! I can sleep, but have to break the bed immediately after. This way, if I die, I am sent all the way back to the original spawn point on the deserted island.

"I feel like Jesus!" I laughed my ass off. Kurt can make anything entertaining. And I really enjoy Castaway.

As for the interior: you could gather some wool, some dye, and make a carpet, those usually look nice. Or you could build a chimney out of cobblestone and netherrack (just make sure that it's not close to flammable materials). Maybe you can make some paintings, some bookshelves and some tables? I know you're not much of a builder, but your house looks so empty DX

Haha, that was awesome. I like how the animals mate by, like, circling around each other. I'm sure my suitemates hate Kurt now because it's the middle of the night (aka 4AM) and I've been laughing my head off here watching Kurt's awesome stuff. XD I HEART KURT!!! <3

Kurt, next time you have to deal with a lot of sand or gravel, if you can dig the block underneath the first (sand)stone that's holding the gravel or sand. Then place a torch in the space of the block you broke and after you break the block that's holding the sand or gravel, the torch will cause it to break and you won't have to dig at all.
