what a very sweet bird. please, please...if you haven't yet, take this poor thing to the vet! he/she is itchy and has a skin problem or is very unhappy and stressed.

@awesomelily101 Its called plucking! Birds do it to themselves sometimes as a habit. (As i've heard.)

Thanks for the comments. I never thought of social interactions as a cause of plucking. I just gave all the perches and toys a really good scrubbing since she rubs her head on stuff all the time as well. She is a really active parakeet so I like her to have the company.

Boris is my English Budgie and he is nine years old. He does not sing or chirp much, but he is a cool old man( or lady)! Tweetie does all the talking in this relationship.

She has plucked them so much I don't think they will grow back, but it doesn't seem to bother her. I am going to post a new video of her singing. She seems to do about three or four different voices at once. Very talented bird.
