    yes to second unless still connected to battery when spikes down.

    But how would a battery spike up and down like this. If anything the batter will be slightly lower in voltage as current is leaving it to charge the capacitor and then move back up as current stops

  • if I give a 220v cap 1.5v will it charge up to 1.5v? what if my battery spikes to say 6v, Would it charge to six volts? Sorry I'm new to electronics and I am building a very sensitive laser.
