  • @tippman2k01 the us Mustang only became one of the best after it was fitted with the RR Merlinsupercharged engine they still use them today in shows in the usa, still working like swiss clockwork both the Mig 15 n Saber used a copyu of the RR jet engine even the us fighter F34 used some harrier jump jet tecnology as it was the first successful VTO jet ages ago now the RAF is Buying F34 from the usa a joke gone too far

  • @finmedia Thanks. gooogled..The mark V1. But only 64 were made. I'd like to see a photo of one...an odd bird it'd look. (FWIW, my old man flew Spits, Hurries and Mohawks. He was one of the 'Last of the Mohawkians.)

  • @moyadapne Depends on the mark various engines, both radial or V, including the Merlin. Some marks were developed for a particular role with a custom engine to suit, e.g., the high-altitude Wellington Mk VI

  • @finmedia 1.15 secs...And I always thought Vikers Wellington used radials. Were they the lesser spotted Bristol Pegasus in-line/radial Merlins.

  • @JBehnen Rolls-Royce Motor Cars is now owned by BMW. Rolls Royce PLC, which is a much larger company, isn't.

  • @Saxe333 Well, recent history says that Rolls-Royce is german now, so why not? ;)

  • @randytosh LOL.
