Acetone burns much, much hotter than butane or propane. They use it in cutting torches.
I don't know if the flame would be bigger, or just a lot hotter.
I think for a bigger flame, you could just use more pressure.

if i come up with a better version of this pyro system, my goal is atleast 2meters away,, so,, after that i'll add up someting to make it even more cooler,, lol

the protection for the user's part was the least of my plans right now,, i was concentrating more on simplifying the system but raging it more on the otherhand,,and thanks for the tip...it will be very usefull i guess..^^

You know something that would be really cool to do to an arm project like that?? Add a secondary use to it!! In other words, you should be able to make the system multifunctional. I was thinking of something along the lines of adding a second canister which could shoot "frost" (aka fire extinguishing foam or whatever). You'd just need to have an electronic switch and an actuator to switch between the two. Maybe even figure out a way to shoot one with the hand pointed up, and the other down.

If you are going to do something like an automail system (which will end up to be very elaborate plate mail), I would suggest you tweek an Ov'glove (or however you spell it) as part of the arming suit. The glove is already designed for extreme heat and is fairly cheap. Also, you'd never see it once the metal suit/arm is in place. Hope this helps a bit.
