The U.S. as a "moral example"?? Well I personally am very afraid of american culture coming into my country, with all that sexual overliberation, drugs, soap operas and militarism.

@BaumerPaulGefreiter I suppose if your concept of American culture is "sexual overliberation, drugs, soap operas and militarism" then I agree with you. I would be afraid of that too. However, reducing any culture such simplistic terms starts to err on the side of bigotry. America is unique in that it was founded on a philosophy codified in the Declaration. of Independence and the Constitution, but like all adherents to a moral and noble philosophy, the followers do often fall short.

Yes, the US Constitution is brilliant ( I`m from Germany and Poland ), that shows the stability of their democracy, and the German "Basic Law", inspired from the pain of the past and the ideas on the Londons Six-Power-Conference shows it.

But Daniel Hannan is not "awesome", he is an euro-sceptic and a RE-nationalist. He tries to destroy the European Union, maybe because Britain is more a 51th US state for the europeans as a part of the European continent and tries to block everything.

daniel hannan is a bad ass like ron paul, we need more politcians like this around the globe, everyone could be free and prosperous now it won't be perfect but it will be better than what most of us have at the current moment.

Wonderful man. I remember him quoting that bit about our Constitution in a Ron Paul video and had to know more about him. Liberty doesn't know national barriers thankfully, we can all gain knowledge from our friends in England.

@bow1master Oh!, you misunderstand me; I only stated our more fiscally responsible health care system and lower taxes to further ridicule Hanna as he seems to project the UK to be socialist central in most of his interviews. You are right, ideally government should withdraw from everything aside internal and external security, Legal institutions and perhaps very limited involvement in a few other areas. The reality is, most people don't really want that deep down, no matter what they say.

@EarlRegent While I didn't even mention comparisons between our government's revenue and expense. I'm glad that you don't support government funded healthcare as you seem to brag about how less you spend than us in that regard. Competing who has a better system is childish and not productive. As for Daniel Hannen being an attention whore who knows he might be but if he really was one he would be talking about how the US was heading in the right direction right now and start to brown nose
