HHHHHH"(see jdgator's WMATA vids), but this sounds a lot cooler. damn, i miss the '90s.... i love trying to imitate the sounds in words.

And before the Columbine shootings. A lot has changed since the 1990s.

Wow! No one there!

Wow. It's hard to think that WMATA used to run 2 and 4 car trains. Now they run 6 and 8 car trains. Although for the past few days I've only seen 6 car trains. I wonder why. Does anyone else know? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

@GreasemonkeyCGI Lol I now right? When we were there, people were doing exactly what she say to do/not to do, but I suppose its because they're used to it. Lol

What is that C# buzz that comes from all Metro trains as they coast to a stop? (Starts getting loud at about :07)

The buzzing sound I believe is the dynamic braking. The electrical current is reversed to the motors on the car so the motors are generating power, that power is pushed to resistors, or back to the 3rd rail. This caused the train to slow down. The air brakes don't engage until near the end of the stopping sequence (except emergency when they apply immediately).
