What are you talking about, its not heavy its 3 times lighter than the standard diff which is it based on, but when designing one off racing cars material wastage does not come into it

hi, i`m in a FSAE team, and this year is going to be our first time at the competicio, and we`re kind of stock in the differential, can you help us on how we must desing the diff?, thx

If your a first year team, you are proberly better off buying a diff, from quaife or the university special diff from torson. Desinging a diff from scratch takes quite a bit of time, make sure you have enough time before you start.
