Yeah that's true, but look at this way, whatever synth or effect used on any given melody at least you'll always know the original from the fake, unless they use melodyne, I'd worry more about plagiarism with it than anything.

sorry dude but its true. soon all other daws will incorporate audio to midi features, meaning anyone will be able to extract exact rhythyms and melodies from any song they choose and "make it their own".

on the other hand its a pretty amazing feature for the millions of producers like me who are unable to "translate" musical ideas stuck in their head.

ableton is really pushing (no pun intended) the music industry though.. gotta give them props for that

That is a totally biased comment on ableton 9, future of plagiarism "rolls eyes"

We need things like this for our music creation process, and ableton 9 finally "flawlessly" gives it to us.

Everyone with Live 8 can now install Live 9 beta and use it till Live 9 goes retail. It's not top secret anymore.
