MISTER NEUTRON - Neutron-powered surf rock!

Mister Neutron provides one of the most powerful live surf/instrumental experiences on the East Coast of the USA. If you haven't seen them perform, 2007 gives you a million-ish opportunities to correct that. This year, they are playing (or have played) in New Jersey, New York, Connecticut, Maryland, Kentucky, Georgia and California.

Although they toured California in March, they're returning to SoCal in early October for three more shows, including a two-hour set at the International Surfing Museum in Huntington Beach on Oct. 7. They're also in Anaheim (for the first time) and El Segundo (the site of one of their best shows ever).

Damian Fanelli, Tony Fanelli and Drew Paradine have been performing and recording together since Aug. 11, 1984. In 1998, they started calling themselves Mister Neutron and began mixing original garage (with vocals) and surf. From 2000 to 2004, they recorded their first full-length CD, MISTER NEUTRON LOVES YOU, which was released on Deep Eddy Records in October 2004. It captures their sound at the time -- first the Stevie Ray Vaughan-influenced garage stuff, and then the later shift to modern surf/instrumental rock. Check out Phil Dirt's MNLY review on our "Press" page.

By early 2005, Mister Neutron had completed the shift to pure instrumental rock and started performing at Unsteady Freddie's now-famous Surf Rock Shindigs in New York City (We're still waiting for The New York Times to cover this awesome underground scene). Since then, Unsteady and Mister Neutron have made Otto's Shrunken Head, an always-packed tiki bar on East 14th Street, their home base.

Mister Neutron released RED TRIANGLE, thier first all-instrumental CD, on Deep Eddy Records in July 2006. They're hard at work on their third CD now, and it should be released by spring 2008. Expect something interesting -- packed with 19 songs, a mixture of 15 original tunes and four studio versions of covers from their live sets. Songs will include "Oaxaca!," "Tiki Barber," "Naughty Bits," "Vlad the Impala," "Sea Girt Agent Man," "Lava Land," "Big Sur Prize," "Mambo Italiano," "Point Pleasant," "Red Hot Lavallette" and "The Big Island."

Mister Neutron has performed on the bill as The Fathoms, Insect Surfers, Agent Orange, Slacktone and Pollo Del Mar, and they're heading for a rat-infested dive near you. Visit the "Calendar" page for all their latest shows.

Mister Neutron is a member of NESMA (North East Surf Music Alliance) and TIM (Texas Independent Musicians).

Mister Neutron: Women want them, men want to be them. Luckily, with recent advancements in identity theft, anything is possible!

Mister Neutron uses Fender guitars, basses and amps; Ampeg amps; Fulltone effects and cables; Tama drums; and D'Addario Chrome, GHS Burnished Steel and Snake Oil Brand pure-nickel strings.

But who gives a rat's ass?
