Virgil Fox recorded an organ concert at the Library of Congress Coolidge Auditorium in 1946. The concert will be re-recorded on a Virtual Pipe Organ for general release, possibly in 2011. Kaleidoplex artwork by Marshall Yaeger.

  • He did know he was being recorded, but it was not by a professional. The organ was at Coolidge Auditorium in Washington, DC. - Marshall

  • After working with Virgil Fox for 19 years, I'm thrilled to know of a record he made that he never told me about. I wonder if he knew he was being recorded or if it was one of those,,,! The instrument sounds a lot to me like Riverside Church. But couldn't be,,surely not.

  • If you give us enough lead time we can try to arrange something special,,but we would rather do something more special for you while you are alive my friend

  • Nice funeral music. Could someone play this for my funeral?
