This scene had our new voice-over work added.

The porch scene, where Captain Beauregard (George Roland Wills) really gets introduced to Miss Letitia Burwell (Lisa Kuhnley) of Avenel House (the lady whom we believe is the White Lady Ghost in our November 1, 2003 Photograph from the real-life documentary, PORTRAIT OF A PLANTATION - A Documentary of the Avenel House... Yes, we really did photograph a solid apparition... and the woman in the photograph is the actual ghost).

Portrait of a Plantation - A Documentary of the Avenel House - includes to November 1. 2003 photograph

Captain Beauregard is based upon a Captain Frank Clarke who was wounded at Antietam and who was engaged to Miss Lettie before the war. They never married, but in this film, Captain Beauregard represents one of the many army captains of the period who were trying to court Miss Lettie of Avenel (A Captain Hampton is also named once or twice in the diaries) and also The Personified Southland, and the Cause of Southern Independence. Miss Lettie never married, and lost her beloved Confederate Southland as well. She and her servant/ best friend Lucinda Burwell are buried side by side in Longwood Cemetery in Bedford. Lucinda stayed at Avenel until her death, despite being 'dispossessed' by the Yankee army in 1864.

NOTE: This movie was made for 4:3 Television screens, and YOUTUBE uses wide screen, which will show the camera people from time to time. The movie does not show these people; they are cropped out by the 4:3 configuration...
