The nameless wizard was Gandalf. He just forgot to say "YOU SHALL NOT PASS!"

the description was all wrong. he was not buried underneath castle wolfenstein at all. the intro very well explains it. "return to castle wolfenstein immediately, notify herr Himmler; we found him" and this was set at the prince's grave.

the guy is not a wizard but a warrior monk called Simon the Wanderer (in canon)

I dont think the SS woul ever refer to their boss as "Herr Himmler", but "Reichsführer", the game is very inaccurate.
