Violence Breaks Out At Thousand Oaks Library Healthcare Forum

8-12-09: Violence breaks out outside the Thousand Oaks, Ca. Library at a Democratic Club forum on Single Payer Healthcare or Mandated Insurance. The doctors who spoke inside the library were proponents. Three other doctors spoke outside to an overflow group to express their oposition. Violence broke out leading to an arrest. Apparently, a proponent of a Single Payer Healthcare System attacked an opponent and was arrested.

We have one of the best health care systems in the whole world in the UK...the NHS.

i know many Americans dont like the UK's system of health care...but it's free..what's not to like about something that is good for you, saves you money that you'd need to pay on medical bills and free? as Don King said...."Only in America".

I didn't see any violence by the older man who approached the "doctors". Seems like those opponents of public healthcare can be loud and interrupt when they want to...but when it happens to them...they attack. Just look at that mob of 4-5 guys going after that poor guy.
