It's " The Young Savages" 1961. About 2 warring street gangs in 1950's, early 60's New York. There was a lot of this going on back then. Then gangs leveled off on the east coast & got big on the west coast.

Yes, loosely based on the conflict between two gangs, Italian Red Wings and the P.R. ViceRoys, in Italian Harlem around Pleasant Avenue. Great video!
