Due to multiple requests, quick step-by-step setup video uploaded here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k4p7LEAYE-s

Test flight of the "Wi-Fli" wi-fi controlled indoor/outdoor helicopter by Interactive Toy Concepts using my iPad. This helicopter is fairly similar in structure to the Syma S107, except it is nearly twice as big and weighs almost four times as much (5.1 oz vs. 1.4 oz.) A 30-60 minute charge yields approximately 5 minutes of flight time. Response time is excellent, but controlling this helicopter is a bit more difficult (at least initially) than using a conventional remote control because it is easy to "lose your place" on the iPad since you're keeping an eye on the helicopter and not the iPad. The upside though, is that you no longer have to worry about finding 6 AA batteries just to power the remote.

  • Yeah all the screws are there, I think you're right about the gear though. Is it easy to take apart?

  • @XxRAGE928xX I can't imagine it being too hard to take apart since it looks like the whole heli is held together by a bunch of screws (though I've never done it myself). Just be careful and remember how to re-assemble when you're done. In general, one thing I like to do when when disassembling anything remotely complicated is to take pics with a digital camera as I go along so I can backtrack later. Good luck and let me know how it goes...

  • Yeah no problem man, but this thing isn't working for me now. The top rotor blade isn't turning now -_-

  • @XxRAGE928xX Hmmm... Is the bottom-most gear at least turning? (And if so, did you make sure the screw on the rotor just above the top blades isn't loose or missing?)

  • Oh cool good, that's a good sign. If that battery life hasn't changed just do it from now on, hopefully it'll stay the same. It is a lipo battery so it should be good.

  • @XxRAGE928xX Yep, for sure-- going to do it the "right" way from now on. Thanks again!

  • Apart tommorow, I need to get the right screwdriver for it. I let my friend borrow my screwdriver set so now I need it back lloyd

  • Yeah I do the camera thing too, and yeah im gonna take it

  • @XxRAGE928xX Yep, you're absolutely right. Someone else pointed out the same thing a few days ago. Didn't bother reading that part of the instructions at the time so I was plugging it in random order. Luckily I haven't noticed any changes in battery life so far... [knock on wood]

  • You probably just ruined your battery for your helicopter, on the directions it says your suppost to plug it in to your computer first, then the helicopter.
