I am a fellow Canadian and love shooting. .22 rifles are great because they are relatively quiet compared to centrefire rifles. I hate the ridiculous "feel good" regulations though. Happy plinking with that .22. I have stainless savage 64 and it is a straight shooter and functions well. I like to use CCI Mini Mags in mine and it functions well and stays relative clean for a .22. Hunted snowshoe hare when I was a youngster with one and decided to rediscover the fun factor of a .22 rifle.
