@eugTheCrotch what the hell?! I never said you were too stupid to understand I meant some people will "get" this movie better than others depending on their experiences. Plus I have been processing your comments and replying to them explaining why I disagree in what I think is a very polite manner. Bottom line: I like this movie, and none of your comments are going to change that. You are entitled to your own opinion, and so am I. Period.

@eugTheCrotch I don't want to turn this into a war because clearly you don't understand the movie and that would be unfair to you. You don't have to like this movie, just let the people who do enjoy it for what it is

This message is to eugTheCrotch. You clearly don't understand the message of the movie at all. It has nothing to do with her beauty which facilitated things for her to find a nice good looking man and fall in love with. Previous to this happening in the story, she had everything, beauty, work, friends, guys who were interested on her and a normal life above her inner problems. She just didn't feel happy and she didn't know what she wasn't meant to live for. She didn't know herself or had the de

@midnatz lol i got it pretty accurately. implying i'm too stupid to understand doesnt make me stupid at all, makes u stupid instead coz ure already raising suspicions without ever actually trying to process my previous comments and doing so to make a point is what ignorants usually resort to.

@eugTheCrotch well in the world I live in depression can happen to anyone. I'm not going to tell my story to everyone on youtube though. And yes, the actors in this movie are attractive, but what do you expect? It's a movie, of course the actors are going to look nice. Also, Veronika's reasons for depression are hinted at subtly throughout the movie, eg the career she chose, not having a dream to live out, etc.
-
@midnatz well i dont know where u live but in the world i live in depression doesn't hit no one randomly just because. when the movie kicked off she was already depressed, was institutionalized and met a very good looking man who loved her back because guess what, she's pretty too. so all the movie communicated to me is that great things always happen to those who look amazing. she never really struggled to earn anything, she won the lottery and i don't think thats profound at all

@eugTheCrotch It's subtle. The fact that there is no obvious in-your-face reason Veronika is suicidal is one of the brilliant things about this movie. Depression is never that simple. Also Eduard is already an intelligent person as you pick up on throughout the movie, he just doesn't talk is all. Veronika's presence is what inspires him to communicate.
Also you see the moment Veronika "snaps out of it". I don't expect everyone to understand this film, but I thought that part was pretty clear.
-
@midnatz like when edward who could barely speak or walk independently suddenly emancipates within an hour. plus we could barely tell why veronika was depressed, how or if she snapped out of it. the movie was hardly about depression. veronika decides to die is a ordinary love story that happens to take place in a mental facility.

@eugTheCrotch well that's your opinion. I thought the acting was superb though, I know what depression feels like and I was amazed at how accurately it was portrayed
Well done! Really really works with the awesome soundtrack. Very inspiring. May have to check out the book/film myself! Thanks.
