The numbers and history make this media hype about a "Pandemic" laughable. The common cold has killed more people world wide than this virus. So why the distraction? Why a world wide media campaign? The media has been used to sway the general public for years and today's Fear mongering around this Pandemic is no different.

Ok we can go with the conspiracy or we can go with over kill of precaution being implemented because the strain is more complex and never seen before. Granted I can go off the deep end on a conspiracy because of my trust level in the gov. again Boomer hasn;t read anything published by the United Nations (Lucifer Trust) AGENDA 21...Club of Rome docs or anything that will burst her bubble of reality. They called for this to happen. I have known this was coming since 1995..hummm...how could that be? If I was a conspiracy quack, wouldn't I have been proven wrong instead of right. Thank's Boomer! I've been saying similar things on my channel. The common well known flu kills 60k a year, over 100's a day. It's unbelievable the CRISIS mode this country is in over every little thing right now.

Yep, you're right. Sociology was one of my minors so I'm fairly well versed in this type of terminology. I think mostly this time people are thinking it is because "everyone" is bringing up the 1918 pandemic that killed millions, so people think that pandemic means death.

Although your right, but it's not what people envision in their minds when the hear the word. Why is that? Because whenever the word is used, it's followed by the number of deaths the pandemic caused.

Pandemic means a large spread of a disease, it doesn't mean people are going to die from it. Look at the comments section on my channel for a tiny bit more info. This obviously is a pandemic just with the spread of it in Mexico, it is obviously going to spread throughout the US. Deaths from an illness or disease has no bearing on the illness being labeled a pandemic.
